PlayStation 4

Sony ready to release a new game console, the PlayStation 4 (PS4) this week. The Japanese company is optimistic to sell 3 million PS4 units worldwide by the end of 2013. Sony claims to have a lot of stock to serve requests PS4 abundant during the Christmas holidays and momentum. The product is priced at 399 U.S. dollars, or approximately USD 4.6 million. President and CEO of Sony Computer entertainmet America, Jack Tretton said it is confident that it can sell 5 million PS4 units in March 2014. "This is a marathon, not a sprint, but a good start would be a good momentum.'re Very confident we are in good shape," Tretton said, as quoted by Bloomberg, on Tuesday (11/12/2013). PS4 will be marketed in the United States on November 15, then to Europe on 29 November, and 32 states next year-end holiday season. Tretton seemed statements indicate that the company did not want to repeat the mistakes of the current supply strategy unveiled the PlayStation 3 (PS3). When the product was launched in 2006, the distribution PS3 hampered due to lack of supply. PS4 game console itself has powerful competitor, which is made by Microsoft Xbox One. This product is rumored to go on sale on November 22. The price is more expensive than the Xbox One PS4, which is 499 U.S. dollars. In August, Microsoft delayed the release of Xbox One in eight countries, including Russia and the Netherlands. However, Microsoft has promised to have a larger supply in 2014. Both Sony and Microsoft, has added a new online feature on their game consoles, which allows users to access entertainment content, including movies and television shows.
